How we make money
One source of income keeps Starlink Switch USA running: Starlink’s referral reward, paid when a first-time customer orders through the site owner’s personal referral and qualifies.
Where the reward comes from
Starlink runs a referral program for its customers. Each referral button on this site opens starlink.com with the owner’s referral attached. If you are new to Starlink, the dish will sit at a US address and you buy the kit and service on starlink.com, Starlink credits you $100 on your second monthly service invoice, under Starlink’s terms (its help center says it can show up from about 60 days after activation). The owner is credited an amount equal to what the customer who shared the link receives. Yours arrives as account credit unless you pick otherwise, taken off your next Starlink bill.
Starlink, not Starlink Switch USA, decides who qualifies. Three of its conditions: you've never had a Starlink subscription; you order both kit and service straight from starlink.com, not from a store, an unauthorized reseller or a private seller; and you hold the service continuously, in good standing, across two whole monthly billing cycles.
What changes for you, and what doesn’t
- You place the order and pay on starlink.com. We never see your order, your payment or your personal details.
- The checkout itself is unchanged: the referral doesn’t lower the checkout total; kit, activation and month one are billed at their usual prices.
- Store-bought kits earn no referral reward. If a store price beats starlink.com once everything is added up, that can still be your better buy, and our cost pages say so.
- Every page answers its question in full without the button. Using it is optional.
Where referral buttons appear, and where they never do
- Disclosure first. The words saying it is a referral, and that the owner earns, sit right before each button in normal-size text.
- The reasons to stay come before the button. On switching and comparison pages, the “when to stay” box always comes first.
- No buttons on pages about returning equipment, moving a phone number, copper shutdowns or setting up a kit you already own, nor on these trust and legal pages.
- No pressure. No countdowns, no urgency, nothing called “free”. The reward is whatever Starlink’s terms say, paid on Starlink’s schedule.
- One reminder at most. A popup describing the referral may open once per browser on some pages, with the same disclosure. It closes with one tap and doesn’t return.
- No paid placement. Links to HughesNet, Viasat, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon and other providers are ordinary links. None of those companies pays us.
Not Starlink’s voice
Starlink Switch USA is an independent US publisher: SpaceX, Starlink and the internet providers named here don’t own, run or endorse it. Nothing on these pages is an offer made by Starlink; read Starlink’s own terms before you order.
Where these facts come from
We took every figure and rule on this page from the pages below; the oldest reading dates from . Terms move often, so confirm with the provider before you cancel or order.
Checking method: each price, fee and rule here links to the provider’s or regulator’s own page, dated the day we read it. No internet provider pays for a place on this site; the only income is the Starlink referral explained on our money page. Our fact-checking · How we make money · Corrections
